How we live out our Statement of Faith and the mission and purpose of our church will determine our distinct identity. For this reason we have sought to describe those ministry distinctives which we believe God has called us to hold dear and maintain. The following Statements are not the only things we represent. They are, however, principles uniquely emphasized at Trinity. Please note that their listed order is not indicative of their primacy.
1. Love and Care. The mark of the Christian is to be love (John 13:34,35)
2. The Authority of Scripture. The Bible is the only adequate standard for determining God's truth (II Tim. 3:16)
3. Equipping. Our ministry as a church body is essentially that of equipping people for the Christian life and service (Eph. 4:11-16).
4. Every-member Ministry. The church is the body of Christ in which there is a diversity of gifts, talents& ministries among believers(1Pt 2:4-10;1Cor12)
5. Meaningful Relationships. Christianity calls us into relationships with people. Ours is a relationship oriented and extended family approach to the Body of Christ (John 13:34,35; Heb. 10:23-25).
6. Worship. The believer's life is a life of worship and communion with God (John 4:23,24; Rom. 12:1,2).
7. Balance and Unity Amid Diversity. As believers we all come from a variety of backgrounds, experiences and preferences, but we want to achieve balance and unity (Eph. 4:3).
8. Personal Commitment. Christ calls individuals into a progressively deepening personal relationship (Luke 9:23-26, Luke 14:26-35).
9. Freedom in Christ. There is freedom in Christ in personal convictions and lifestyle in areas not addressed in Scripture (Gal 5:1, 17; 2Cor 3:17; Rom 14)
