Awana is a non-denominational ministry that assists churches in reaching children and teenagers with the gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him.
AWANA Club is a ministry for ages 3 years through 6th grade. The word "AWANA" is an acronym for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed", taken from II Timothy 2:15 - "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." The heart of the AWANA program is Bible memorization.
